What is electric charge?

What is electric charge?

Electric charge is the physical property of matter that causes a force when it is closer to the other electrically charged matter. There are two types of electric charges - positive and negative. Positively charged substances are repelled by the other positively charged substances but attracted towards negatively charged substances; negatively charged substances are repelled from negative and attracted to positive.

How do stars twinkle?

How do stars twinkle?

Stars do not twinkle! Stars are the celestial bodies that are in the gaseous state. The reason they seem to us as they are twinkling is that we see them through many layers of the air in the sky. The atmosphere of the earth consists of many layers and gases. Another reason that helps produce this scintillating effect is their distance. They are millions and millions of miles away from us!

The most enduring are Alaska beetles and flies that can live in temperatures of up to -60 degrees Celcius. Mosquitoes and Bumblebees pollinate the flowers in the Arctic, where there are almost no honey bees.

The Greediest Tree

The Greediest Tree

The Great Indian Banyan differs from most of the trees because its roots hang down from its branches. Once the root grows long enough to reach the ground, the part of the root above the ground hardens and it becomes a new tree trunk, almost similar from the main trunk. This way, the banyan can capture several acres of land!

What is Gravitational Force?

What is Gravitational Force?

Gravitational Force is a force of attraction exerted by the surface of the earth. In other words, If the gravitational force is not there, then we would all fly and wouldn't be able to walk or run or even play! Hence, the force that keeps everything in the universe in its place is called the gravitational force.
